Parent / Teacher Conferences

We are offering online conference sign-up (5th - 8th Grade ONLY) this year. I hope you take advantage of this opportunity as it makes signing up easier and more efficient. Conferences will be Tuesday, October 21 and Wednesday, October 22, 4:00 - 7:00 p.m.

One factor we cannot change is the amount of conference time we have available. Illinois State Law limits the amount of release time school districts can utilize for conferences. Although District 65 uses the maximum amount permitted, the limited conference time makes it impossible for every teacher to meet with every family during the designated conference times. In light of this issue, and because it is very important for all of our families to feel connected to their child's teachers and educational experience, we would like to make a few suggestions:

  • Access the Parent Portal regularly to monitor your child's progress. If you have not signed up to access the Parent Portal or have forgotten your login or password, please send an email to
If a concern does arise, do not wait until conference time; contact the teacher immediately.
You may choose to schedule a conference with some of your child's teachers, but not all of them.
If you are open to a phone conference or a conference outside of the designated conference times, email the teacher to schedule that conversation.

Online conference sign-up starts on October 9 at 6:00 a.m. and closes on October 19 at 10:00 p.m. Click the link below or copy the web address into your browser to access PT Conference Maker:  You will need the following information to schedule your conferences: Student ID # (login) and Lunch PIN (password). 

Elementary teachers will contact parents to set up conferences dates and times. The Fine Arts and Physical Education staff are available on both conference days. If you would like to meet with them, stop by their classrooms. If you are unable to come in, please contact the teacher and make an appointment.

We are asking parents to complete an evaluation form. The "Parent Evaluation of Parent-Teacher Conferences" form helps us evaluate your conference experience. Please take a brief moment to complete the form and return it to specifically marked containers located on the first and second floor. Completing the form should take no longer than 5 to 10 minutes. You are not required to reveal your personal information.

Middle School parents will be required to attend one of the upcoming informational session where parental consent forms and user agreement contracts for the iPads will be signed.
